How Blacklisting Works
Report a Stolen Device
When a device is stolen or goes missing, report it to the blacklist. Vendors report from their account; the public can report without an account.
Platform-Wide Visibility
The device's IMEI or serial number becomes visible across the entire Guardget network. the largest database of its kind. preventing resale anywhere.
Reporter Identity Protected
Only the blacklist status is visible. The identity of the person who reported the device remains confidential to protect their privacy.
Controlled Resolution
Only the vendor who reported the device or a Guardget administrator can resolve the blacklist entry, ensuring integrity. Public reports are reviewed by admins before full blacklisting.
Verification Results
When you verify a device, you'll see one of two results:
Clear
This device has not been reported as stolen or missing. Safe to purchase.
Blacklisted
This device has been reported as stolen or missing. Do not purchase.
