    Data Encryption

    We only collect data necessary for the service, and vendors are responsible for obtaining buyer consent.

    Limited Access

    Vendor data is only accessible to the vendor who owns it. Buyer data is never shared with third parties.

    Audit Trails

    All transactions and data changes are logged for accountability and legal compliance.

    What Data We Collect

    Vendor Data

    • Business name, logo, and contact information
    • Email address and authentication credentials (encrypted)
    • Inventory records (device details, IMEI, serial numbers)
    • Transaction history and receipts

    Buyer Data

    • Name and contact information (phone number)
    • ID type and number (for phones/laptops only)
    • Transaction details linked to the vendor

    Device Data

    • IMEI numbers (phones)
    • Serial numbers (laptops)
    • Device details (brand, model, condition)
    • Blacklist status and history

    Vendor Responsibilities

    As a vendor using Guardget, you are a data controller for the buyer information you collect. You must:

    • Obtain verbal or written consent before collecting buyer information
    • Explain to buyers why their ID details are being recorded (legal compliance)
    • Never share buyer information outside of Guardget
    • Keep access credentials secure and private
    • Report any suspected data breaches immediately
    • Delete or anonymize buyer data upon request (where legally permitted)
